We at Opelika Light and Power are very pleased to present to our customers a convenient and quick way to access utility account information and pay utility bills on-line. Our online software provides up-to-date account information for both your electric and garbage accounts. Through our secure site, customers may view billing history, payment activity, and service and consumption summaries. You may also pay your bills on-line. Your account number, personal identification number (PIN), and an active e-mail address are all you need to access your account information. 24 hours a day, seven days a week... Our new software provides customers with real-time access to account information over the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Billing and/or payment inquiries may be addressed at your convenience. There are no lines to stand in nor do you have to find an envelope and stamp to make your payment. Internet payments are accepted at the click of your mouse. Our on-line software features... - PAYMENT HISTORY - View both applied and pending payments (payments entered but not posted) and current billing information.
- ACCOUNT INFORMATION - Displays current balance, last payment made, account status (active or inactive), and current billing information.
- CONSUMPTION INFORMATION - Electric consumption history may be displayed by billing period or in graph form comparison. Current meter readings and average daily usage is also displayed.
- BILLING HISTORY - View your past bills including bill date, due date, balance forward, payments and adjustments, and current charge detail. Past bills may be easily viewed and printed.
- BANK CARD PAYMENTS - Payments are accepted 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We charge a modest convenience fee to cover the cost of these transactions.
Getting started is easy... You are only a few clicks away from reviewing your electric and garbage account information online. The registration process will require you to have your utility account number, the cycle and route number from your most recent bill, and a valid e-mail address. You may obtain your PIN on-line. Click on the Create Pin button to create your own PIN. Upon successful creation of your unique PIN, an email confirmation will be sent to the email address which you supplied. Should you have questions we will be glad to help. Contact us at our Customer Service Center by calling 705-5170 during regular business hours or via email at customerservice@ci.opelika.al.us. Once you have your account number and PIN, you may click here to access our "Login" page. Simply key in your account number (complete with a dash) and your PIN and you are on your way. NOTICE: INTERNET PAYMENTS DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY REMOVE DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS FROM CUTOFF.
If your account has been scheduled for disconnection of service either for non-payment or for a returned check and you make an Internet payment to pay your balance, it remains your responsibility to notify the Customer Service Center to prevent disconnection of your service. YOU SHOULD ALSO KNOW: There IS a 2% convenience charge added to the total amount due for bills paid online. These are charges issued to us by the credit card companies themselves.
