Lewis Cooper Jr. Memorial Library is proud to serve the citizens of Opelika and residents of Lee County. The library houses approximately 70,000 volumes for all ages. This collection contains books, audio books and a great selection of current DVDs and VHS movies. The library, with the help of the Genealogical Society of East Alabama, maintains a Genealogy Room on the 3rd floor. Along with our collections, the library offers FREE Computer and Internet access. The computers are equipped with the commonly used programs of Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, Excel and PowerPoint). In the library you will find a number of areas where you can sit, study, or just read by yourself or with a study group. As you are reading you can browse one of our many magazines and newspapers that we have to offer. If you are looking for a place to meet with your group, the library has meeting rooms available as well. Many opportunities await you at Lewis Cooper Jr. Memorial Library!
