Parks in Opelika:
Spring Villa Park is located on 325 acres of beautifully wooded land that are home to the Penn Yonge House now listed on the National Historic Register. Spring Villa has a modern campground facility, a spring-filled swimming pool, picnic sites and many walking trails.
Municipal Park located on Denson Drive in North Opelika is a popular gathering spot with several playground areas, a picnic shelter, a gazebo, and an antique miniature train known as the Rocky Brook Rocket that runs seasonally on Sunday afternoons. Municipal Park is also the site of the Annual Summer Swing Concert Series, held every Tuesday evening for 13 weeks, families can sit on the creek bank, listen to a variety of musical offerings presented on the Bandstand, and enjoy hamburgers and hot dogs cooked at the quaint concession cabin.
Covington Park with a variety of playground equipment is located the Covington Recreation Center at 213 Carver Avenue.
Shady Park is located in Pepperell Village.
Floral Park located at 600 Floral Street.
West Ridge Park and Baseball Complex located at 1600 Covington Avenue has playground equipment, two Dixie youth baseball complexes with eight fields for ages 5-12, control buildings, press boxes and concession stands, and a Dixie Boys complex with two baseball fields, a control building, press box, and concession stand.

Chewacla State Park -- Located just outside of Auburn, AL off of U.S. 29 South, Chewacla State Park has improved camping facilities and cabins for a family or for larger groups. The miles of nature trails for hiking and biking run along the creeks and through the hills of this 696-acre park. There is a 26-acre lake for swimming, with fishing and boating available.
